Instruction 2012



All instruction sessions are open to non-members, space permitting.  Priority is given to SWRC members.   Anyone cancelling less than 24 hours before a session will be liable to the cost of their place unless it can be filled by another rider.

  Cost : £17 if 5-6 riders, £20 if 4 (in this case riders will be notified and can opt to cancel session).  Non members £20 - £23

Diana is an extremely experienced instructor who is quick to assess both horse and rider, and offers constructive and effective advice.  In her career she has worked with Bruce Davidson and Lucinda Green, competing at top level in Canada and in the UK (CCI***). She now specialises in teaching and bringing on young horses. (She started 4* horses such as Tamarillo, Two-O-Two and Swizzle-in). 


 

Jumping for Fun with Lisa Hayes

Not sure about jumping? Come and try it out and have some fun in a relaxed, non-pressured session or enjoy some gymnasatic gridwork with Lisa who competes at Open level, and is an experienced trainer for RC and PC. These sessions are great confidence boosters.

Calling all Young and Inexperienced horses?

We are also offering something new in the form of a training session dedicated to riders with young or inexperienced horses with Sally Drummond who has just moved into the area but has a wealth of experience bringing on young horses, eventing to advanced level and latterly being involved in paralympic equestrian training.

Teresa enjoys teaching a variety of abilities but particulalrly enjoys helping riders who feel they have 'problems' with their horses and thise riders who feel 'nervous' about competingor starting to compete. Teresa will find you excercises and a plan of work for partnerships so that the relationship between horse and rider becomes happy and relaxed and both end up smiling!
Teresa hold the BHS Intermediate Teaching Certificate and the ABRS Teaching Certificate. She is on the BD Trainee Judges List and is a listed BSJA Judge, a PC B Test Examiner and a PC Visiting Instructor, She has ridden to Advanced Medium and competed to Intermediate Eventing.
