Welcome to South Wilts Riding Club
South Wilts Riding Club was formed in 1985 from the merger of Hindon and Warminster Riding Clubs. Our members come from a fairly wide area of south and west Wiltshire: from Warminster and Mere to Shaftesbury and Salisbury. Most of our riding activities are centred in the Warminster area.
We are a friendly, welcoming club catering for riders of all abilities. Some compete at affiliated level, while others, just starting out on the competitive road, have plenty of opportunity to gain experience at the many club based competitions. Throughout the year we offer a comprehensive programme of instruction in flatwork, jumping and cross country and, from early summer through to the autumn, we have a busy calendar of competitions.
It is by no means essential to own a horse (or even ride!) to be a member. A keen interest in the horse is all that is required, and enthusiasm for getting involved in club activities.
