This year we are pleased to offer junior training sessions in addition to our increasingly popular Junior Show. We believe it is important to nurture our younger riders and allow them to develop confidence and experience in their own time and in their own age group.
We run a varied programme of competitions during the year, open to juniors and seniors alike, and these are an excellent way to gain competition experience in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
British Riding Clubs also run qualifying competitions in most disciplines, and our juniors have plenty of opportunity to compete as individuals or in a club team. For the successful riders, this can lead to the National Championships where they compete against other young riders from all over the country.
We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly and welcoming club where support and encouragement is at the forefront of our work.
Offering juniors their own sessions allows adults to progress in their own groups while our junior members can enjoy their riding and progress to competitions as and when they are ready.
Junior membership is open to 10 - 17 year olds at Riding Club Discretion

The Junior Team were fantastic and gave a nail biting performance to achieve First Place and now they will go to the KBIS Novice Winter Championships, held at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe, Bedford 1st - 2nd April
. Sarah saw most of their rounds behind her fingers as she couldn’t bear to watch! This acheivment is made all the more special when you realise that 3 of the juniors don’t own their own horse and therefore don’t always have the opportunity to ride regularly. It is thanks to Sarah who coaches the juniors that they can literally ride anything and still bring home the ribbons.
Anyone who would like to help at this event or just cheer on the girls, please contact Sarah Mitchell-Sheppard
